I want to color the world a little more beautiful!
Please take me with you, I`m a present!
This little painting is especially for YOU.
I came all the way from the Netherlands to bring
a smile into your heart.
This text is on a label attached to small paintings which are put in sweet and special places, by and for sweet and special people.
To kindly keep for yourself or to pass on...
Together we will make the world more beautifull!
Welcome to
the heARTfactory :)

On the backside of the label is a request to inform me by who and where the gift was found and what you've done with it. You can find more about this on the page Found a little heART? and on Instagram .
The response is really heart touching. From happy and surprised, to moved and sad; the heARTS seem to know exactly who to turn to for an extra sparkle in someone's life.
Also the gifts inspirers others to do something sweet and creative to make other people happy, especially children seem to love it, and so, all together, we can make the wordl a little bit more beautiful!
Mmm reactions,

The paintings are made with a lot of love and pleasure in my studio and are as much a joy to make as my large paintings from the serie One Thousand and 1 heART and made with almost the same materials: canvases (of 10x10 cm, this very small size is the biggest difference), leftovers of acrylic paint and all kinds of recycled toys found and received. I try to work as green as possible and -new! even greener! - nowadays you can also find them on pieces of wood from local trees that would otherwise have ended up in a shredder. Thanks to the Tafelboom Foundation.
Before the gifts are going there way into the world, they are festively wrapped so they are rainproof and thanks to the transparent foil and label attached to it you can see immediately what is inside, so that any risk of fearful associations with, for example, bomb packages are prevented.
The drop spots are chosen as randomly as possible. It is a feast to find an extraordinary beautiful place, but an ordinary parking lot or abandoned park bench is just as special.
In a time where almost everything is about money and achievement, I want to live my contrary opinion: everyone deserves a gift because of the most glorious fact that you are YOU!

heARTs especially
On November 9, 2012 the very, very first HEART gift was dropped into the world. This was at the feet of the Groene Engel in Zwolle, The Netherlands, and it was só exciting and very much fun, and it still is after all these years. On my former website it received straight away a heartwarming response the next day . Hooray!
The heARTs quickly became fame and appeared in various magazines and newspapers. And, last but not least, a real sponsor came in sight, the ever enthusiastic Han Franssen from All Medicall.nl .
Since the start, a thousand and 1 heARTs have flown into the world. Wherever I go I always have a little gift in my bag. Sometimes I drop one once a week, other times a lot at the same time, especially on special days like Valentine's Day or on a festival . There are also two permanent hotspots in Utrecht, The Netherlands, where a ppresent is regularly dropped. Sometimes there is an occasional lottery on Instagram or I make them at the special request of someone who wants to support someone else.
The heARTs love to travel, and happily I have help from many nice and sweet people who want to take them on their journey. They can be found throughout the Netherlands and abroad, such as Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, America, Russia, China and New Zealand.
On to a positive snowball effect!
